'Met' Mast
We manufacture and install wind measurement masts from 10m – 160m. Our masts are all guyed masts and are of a steel lattice design that is hot – dipped galvanised and painted before delivery to site. We offer masts up to 160m. All our procedures relating to wind masts and instruments follow the IEC 2017 Version 2 protocols
Weather Instruments
FCT has close relations with each of their Weather instrumentation suppliers, as we constantly learn and grow. All our procedures relating to wind masts and instruments follow the IEC 2017 Version 2 protocols.
FCT’s instrument technicians are fully trained on all aspects of instrument installs and understand the challenges associated with this portion of the works. FCT also provides staff internal training and mentorships.
Site Data Management
FCT Renewables offers site data management from pre-installation by providing an email address and sim card (the type of sim is site dependent and to the customer’s requirements). FCT will load data to the sim cards within the loggers monthly and run the emails to ensure the client receives their daily data.
Onshore Lidar
The future of ‘Met’ Masts,
The wind lidar is a vertical profiling unit used for onshore wind measurements from 1 to 300 meters and is fully IEC-classified with finance-grade quality data. FCT Renewables is a trusted service provider of ZX LIDARS.
FCT offers rental or purchase options, providing turnkey solutions for your lidar requirements (mobile trailer, fixed position with additional solar backup etc).
Maintenance
FCT Renewables offers structural mast structure and instrumentation maintenance contracts that allow sites to be monitored, upkept, and maintained annually / biannually or when required. The maintenance contract is as per the client’s and site’s needs.
FCT offers both Structural ‘Met’ Mast maintenance and Instrumentation maintenance.
NRG Bat Systems
FCT Renewables is the proud sole dealer of NRG Systems in Africa, which allows FCT to venture into the turbine industry with the NRG Systems Bat Deterrent System.
The NRG Systems are site-specific per the turbine model and set up to deter bats from the turbines to provide a solution to keep wind farms operational and prevent bat fatalities at wind turbines.
FCT offers the following for the BDS: Pre-set up fo the BDS, including the wireless connection for sending data.NRG BDS installation Data Management in terms of receiving and storing the data. Issuing weekly site reports NRG BDS maintenance and upgrades
Bat Detection Installations
FCT Renewables offers installation of NRG Bat Detection Systems.
We can provide a 10m plus Mast and Guy Kit for bat detection systems.
Consultancy
FCT Renewables offers site analysis for favorable site locations, observations of IEC standards for Met Mast, and instrument installations as well as product inspection & quality compliance.
Import & Export
FCT Renewables offers export of industry related products, export services of rigging and instrument installation capabilities, and importing of wind instruments (sole distributor for NRG systems in Africa).
